Getting to the Severn Trent Centre
One of the reasons Coventry was chosen as the Operating centre is because
of the excellent transportation links.

Rail links
Coventry Train station is located a short distance away from the new site approximately a ten minute walk.
Coventry Train station is directly connected to Warwickshire via Bedworth, Nuneaton, Rugby and Leamington
Spa. It is also connected to the rest of the West Midlands by the West coast mainline which runs from London
Euston through Coventry to Birmingham New Street and from there you can reach the north of the country.
At peak times trains run every 10-15 minutes from Birmingham to Coventry.

Birmingham New Street to Coventry - 20 to 30 minutes
Rugby to Coventry - 15 minutes
Leamington to Coventry - 10 minutes
Nuneaton to Coventry - 25 minutes
Wolverhampton to Coventry - 1 hour
London Euston to Coventry - 1 hour 20 minutes

There is also the London Midland service that travels between Birmingham New Street and Coventry that has
number of stops you can travel to Coventry from: Birmingham New Street, Adderley Park, Stechford, Lea Hall,
Marston Green, Birmingham International, Hampton in Arden, Berkswell, Tile Hill, Canley, Coventry.

Park and Ride
Coventry has two bus-based Park & Ride sites serving the North and South of Coventry. Both services operate
in a clockwise direction around the City Centre and will drop you within a minutes walk from Severn Trent
Centre.
Park & Ride North is based at Austin Drive, Courthouse Green (postcode CV6 7NS) and has 163 free parking
spaces. Services operate in a clockwise direction around the City Centre.
The Journey time from the North Park & Ride to Severn Trent Centre is 12 minutes, and will drop you within a
minutes walk from the site at Earl Street.
Park & Ride South is based at Memorial Park, Kenilworth Road (postcode CV3 6PT) and has 402 free parking
spaces. Services operate in a clockwise direction around the City Centre.
The Journey time from the South Park & Ride to Severn Trent Centre is 10 minutes, and will drop you within a
minutes walk from the site at the Little Park Street.
Park & Ride offers a free and secure place to park your car and continue on the bus to Coventry City Centre and
is available from 7.45am to 6.25pm and runs every 15 minutes.

Cycling and pedestrian routes
Once you're in Coventry, you will find some designated cycling lanes and a fair walk from the city centre.
Cycling
There are a number of cycle routes in Coventry for anyone looking for a green and healthy way to travel. If you
visit the Coventry City Council website on cycle routes you can map out your journey.

Cycle maps can be found in the magazine racks on site next to the Severn Trent Centre notice boards.
Pedestrain routes
If you wish to look up pedestrian routes these are marked on the cycle maps.
Driving
There are number of routes into Coventry.
From the Ring Road leave the Inner Ring Road at Junction 5 (following signs for the City Centre).
Take the East Bound Slip Road as if re-joining the Ring Road.
Within 50 yards filter left and turn left into St Johns Street
There is very limited parking around STC itself however those that are available have a pay-meter which is 50p
per hour (the Wardens do check frequently).
Coventry City Council operates car parks with a current total of 1543 spaces, the nearest of which are:
1. New Union Street - 240 spaces

There are also 2568 spaces at private car parks within walking distance of the site, for example:
Belgrade Plaza Car Park
1,100 car parking spaces
Privately owned car park (not run by Coventry City Council) and a short walk away form STC;
approximately 10-15 minutes
Weekly tickets are currently £10.00, seasonal ticket £650+. These can be obtained from Gosford Street
or Whitefriars (both are popular with travelling employees)
Season tickets are available for both Council and Private car parks, this may vary by sites.
A popular alternative for travelling employees is the IBIS Hotel nearby which is situated off Mile Lane. This is a
5-10 minute walk from Severn Trent Centre. You are able to pay per day, current rate is £5.00 (pay before
leaving car-park). From the hotel to STC; from the rear of the car-park, furthest away from Reception, go down
towards the road (ICE Building will be in front of you), then walk towards the Christian Centre, stay left, passing
some terraced houses and go through the under-pass. Severn Trent Centre is the large building on your left,
follow the outside of the building to enter STC revolving doors.
